holy crap, why didn't they stop the lift??

I got destroyed one time one of those damn three person lifts. They position some fat chick between me and a friend and all she had to do was sit down. Instead just as I'm about to grab the rail handle she hip checks me off the side of the lift and I got ground into the hard pack with my skis tangled in the lift. Luckily the lift operator saw it coming and hit the emergency stop. I ended up taking another lift and my friend says she never apologized, just slid her ass over now she had enough room then skiied away without a word.
