Hey I live in Georgia- peanuts in the shell heavily salted and in a bag that says Angels would make it to my BBQ and so would the shakes if you add some protein powder and stevia. (Sounds like Tank had that under control).  And don't mess with Carter while Trump is president.

so there

Reference erstad, i forgot how much of a boner neyer had for him. And back then, when sabr was starting to go widespread, some people took a ything a sabr type would say as gospel.

Im not saying that to knock stats. Just remember that era (on the boards at least) being filled with arguments based on moneyball. (For a majority, before fangraphs and other sites, that was the extent of sabr knowledge). So guys like erstad were pretty easy targets, especially since defense stats werent as big yet.

Erstad was a beast in the outfield. His value dipped playing 1B, but even there, he was almost like a shortstop.

I'll admit to giving Erstad a lot of grief back in the day. That said, I have generally always referred to him as the best defensive center fielder I had ever seen - it's just that at the time I hadn't really seen all that many (considering I was in elementary school when he came up). I really undervalued the weight of his defensive strengths in comparison to his offensive shortcomings.
