World Series final outs since 1967

O's had been several games back of the Brewers as time ran down on the season.   They came back, including two straight over the Brewers that last weekend in Baltimore to tie them.   But alas, the magic ran out in game 162, as the Brewers routed them by something like an 11-0 final.   Yount, iirc, hit 2 HRs that day as Dempsey was likely catching for the O's.  Hence the Yount improv during the aforementioned rain delay

We had bought tickets mid season because it was going to be Earl Weaver day - he was retiring.  To get the real pennant chase was a bonus.  And to top it, my all time favorite baseball player Jim Palmer was starting for the Orioles.

I just looked it up.  Don Sutton started for the Brewers.  I don't remember that.  And I also thought that Yount led off the game with a homer.  He was the second batter.
