2014 Sweep

In 2014 the Angels swept the A's in a 4 game series down the stretch. I believe they even beat their ace (Gray) in that first game. They never looked back from that point on. Kind of hope this is just like that

That four game sweep of the Athletics that you are referring to was in late August. Last game of the month was the fourth game of the four game sweep of the Athletics.

That team was different from this team though, outside of the solid bullpen. Richards, Shoemaker, and Weaver all had good years pitching and the offense that year was a lot better than this year's offense.

The crazy thing though is our offense is still underperforming. Only Trout and Simmons are really playing over their norms. If Cron and Calhoun keep things up, Maybin gets hot again , and Cowart/Pennington can do more than Espinosa did, this team is leaps and bounds better than it will have been at any point this season. And I still think Pujols has one more hot streak in him.

If Sosh isn't going to play Cowart full time, we need to go out and trade for a veteran 2B that can contribute on offense and defense. 

Pennington offers very little.

Sorry to be a Debbie Downer, but the only sweep that mattered in 2014 was against the Royals.

I haven't seen a team in the last 10 years as on fire as that's Royals team was. Yet we were still in games 1 and 2 (lol CJ Wilson starting game 3)

Actually after looking at it, BP makes a lot of sense. 

Though after fleecing the Braves in the last trade, I wonder if their GM is hesitant to deal again with Eppidity Epp.

Phillips make sense regardless of what Sosh wants to do with Cowart at 2nd.

Bring in BP, play Cowart at 3rd until Escobar gets back. Then once YE comes back Cowart becomes our new Pennington but less useless.

Yeah I like it. If Eppler was enamored with Espinosa's defense, he should be with BP's defense as well. 

BP is a much better at bat too.

Richard hurt his knee, and was replaced with Rasmus down the stretch,
