Gameday Thread: 7/23 Red Sox @ Angels: Pujols gets a day off

Recommended Posts

Hopefully he didn't hurt himself too bad last night. He's been pretty good in July.

Valbuena has been really disappointing. Would be nice if he could get a groove going before the year is out.

They're really leaning on Maldonado. Whenever the playoffs start looking like a legit longshot I hope they swap out Perez for Graterol and give him an extended look again.

People bitch about Albert being in the line up because he's "killing the team" and then they bitch when he gets a day off...like he was in some kind of hot streak that's now broken because of that idiot Scioscia!  lmao!

Go Halos!!!!!

Literally 0 people are bitching about him getting a day off.

So what are the odds that, after the game when any transactions are usually announced, Yunel flies east with the Angels to Cleveland or NORTH with the Red Sox to Seattle?

His name hasn't been mentioned in any Red Sox rumors....doesn't mean it won't happen but it's not out there in rumorland....

During the last 17 games, Revere is actually hitting over .300.

He's been a decent hitter, except for last year....much better than Valbuena, who is just bad....I would like to see Scioscia, for once, shelve his platooning obsession and just let Revere play every day until Maybin gets back....and Cron too...never happen...

Seriously, 250 million contract and yet Scioscia is coddling him like a toddler handling him carefully like the fragile, declining veteran which he is, in order to preserve whatever value is still left.

...more accurate.

CJ Cron gold glove at first confirmed.

In all seriousness though, his defense has improved to the point where its not a liability. If he can manage to consistently hit for power, he may be a great option for first in the future.

I don't mind Cron, but I'd rather have Hosmer. Every attempt should be made to sign him. Major upgrade at first over our other possibilities.
