I think a lot of the appeal with those two is just the novelty that they aren't completely awful as pitchers.  Doesn't justify the rest of the garbage vs. a guy that actually is a hitter, albeit not a great one.  Anyway, just a frustrating thing for me during interleague.  Pretty marked disadvantage for the AL teams in the NL park.
