Trout needs to continue to feel like a young whipper snapper.

Have you paid attention to Maybin the last week?  Or do you only pay attention when he has a bad game?

Well the American League All Star ballot is out. You can vote up to 5 times every 24 hours. I'm pretty sure that Valbuena, Espinosa and Maybin can all count on your support. Don't forget to vote.

Arte is spending $39,410,000 for left field this season. Enough said.

Which obviously diminishes what Maybin has done the last couple weeks in your mind.  Just admit you love when they fail, because you were awfully silent when Maybin had a great week hitting leadoff.  Then he goes 0fer and they lose and you start up on him again.  No praise ever just criticism.  I'm looking forward to next year with whomever is in left field, when we no longer have Hamilton on the books, your line will be, "do you know we've spent $140 million on left field in the last five years" you'll say it as if it's profound or that it actually means anything about the guy who will be in left field.

Maybin's overall body of work for us has been less than impressive. Revere hasn't done much either.

Anyway here's our left field.

Claude, Maybin has a .362 OBP which is very good.  He is 3rd in the AL in stolen bases.  He is on pace to have between a 4-5 win season, considering he is at a 1.4 WAR right now.  So he is basically having a good Kole Calhoun season.  He isn't the problem with this team.  You had your mind made up on him the moment he was traded for because he had "played for too many teams".  With the Angels you see greatness (Trout) and shit, and you are incapable of seeing anything in the middle, like a solid player.  Maybin started slow but he has put together a very solid season so far.  This is a guy that you should like.  He is athletic, runs well, plays solid defense, smiles a lot, is involved in the community and seems to be an overall good dude.  But you just don't want to see it.  Is he an All Star, no, but he is a very solid piece, you just don't want to see it.  Sorry but the facts don't agree with your assessment of Maybin.
