There isn't a timetable for Madson to return to the team.

 

"Ryan Madson, currently getting treatment in Arizona, hasn't thrown off a mound since pitching to hitters for the first time on April 19 and isn't even playing catch at the moment. "Some of the elements have been slow to develop and it's been a little frustrating," Scioscia said. "But in the big picture, he's made a lot of progress in the last three weeks. Hopefully once he gets over this hurdle, we won't be looking back."

Silver linings..

I know they just lost 3 of 4 game to the Mariners, but a couple of them were close.

A fly or two less in the ointment, and who knows?

It's only April, lots of pages left to turn, and everyone knows Butchy is the hardest working coach in baseball.

Jared gave us a hometown discount.

Hamilton has God on his side.

Pujols is still a little faster than Benjie Molina.

Everyone knows that Oakland will never keep it going.

Comeback wins are way overrated.

Arte lowered beer prices once.

Scioscia's contract is almost half over.

Getting in and out of the Big A is as fast as it was in the early 70's.
