Mat Latos is 4-0 with a 0.74 ERA

and

Joe Blanton is 2-1 with a 0.96 ERA

obviously both better than Weaver!

I'm not sure anyone but Weaver could get away with that kind of speed and still win games.

Dude is friggin determined. And I think the team feeds off of it.

So do we bring him back next year on a hometown discount ? I'll admit he's my favorite player and I get sentimental about the homegrown guys - but do we bring him back if the price is right ?

I really can't imagine him playing anywhere else - maybe he still will have value as a 4 or 5 to us
