My favorite baseball movie (and one of my favorites of any genre for that matter) of all time. So much more than just a bunch of foul mouthed, crappy Little Leaguers — though they are certainly a big part of the film's charm.

The second movie wasn't too bad.

The third one with Tony Curtis?    Rolls eyes.

I wonder how many Little Leagues in history have had their very own Turner and Boilermaker.

Turner is like Vince Lombardi on speed.    A+ acting job by the late Vic Morrow

Boilermaker is like any of the Rat Pack coaching Little League.

Heh! I love this flick as well, & have the entire series...

In all phases, VHS of the original.... DVD's of 1 & 2, & now a box set of the whole thing!

I'm exactly the same age as the original cast, so I absolutely loved the original as a child.

Hard to believe that was 40 years ago...

I made a list of my Top 5 sports movies for IMDB...

1) Hoosiers

2) The Natural

3) The Bad News Bears

4) Rocky

5) The Cutting Edge

"The Bad News Bears" is a very underrated movie, plus it was film at Chatsworth Fields in the Valley where I played some all-star games in Colt League during the 70's.

Side note: Invented movie drinks I had read about... The "Buttermaker Boilermaker"  -Take a can of 16oz. Budweiser, pour out the top 3-4oz, and top it back up with Wild Turkey.  Posit!
