Each day the price goes down. The agents are screwing the players because the players need a back bone like Weaver had.

 

I'm confused.  Isn't the end result the same: less money for the player?  Weaver took a "hometown discount."  The end result of these free agents holding out might be slightly lower contracts--but that's what they would have gotten if they did what Weaver did.

I guess it depends on when they sign Jason. I'm just guessing guys like Chris Davis were offered more early on than he will be later. So if when Baltimore offered $150 million he should have stepped in and said yes. That's what I meant. But you are right.
