can't say I'm broken up about not trading for Neil Walker, but with so many holes on our team, it would be nice to see Eppler pull of something.

 

The one big move we've made didn't even address an immediate problem.

Getting Walker would have been nice. But I was more excited at the prospect of getting a solid 2b for CJ Wilson.

I wouldn't want Kendrick unless it's only 10 million a year which I don't think he'd accept. 

 

Howie is 32 years old now and had a poor defensive season for the dodgers last year. I see red flags

I'm starting to think we'll go with Asdrubal Cabrera and David Freese. My hope was for Zobrist and Cowert / Kubitza / Giovatella and when that sailed Neil Walker seemed to hard to get but ideal, Murphy is out there but I hate his defense, and he's going to be over paid.

Interestingly enough 'Steamer' thinks Giovatella will be better than Cabrera next season, although most of that is because it doesn't think Johnny G could be that bad with the glove, and it expects Cabrera to regress in that area due to a fluky good year last season statistically.
