I will say what Poozy said in the other thread. We are Mike Trout getting hot away from being in the post season. Now if Trout and Albert got hot for the next five weeks we could win it. Obviously that isn't likely.

Albert is now in the .230's (.239)...If you take away his hot stretch in June/July, the rest of the season has been pretty much Rob Deer/Dave Kingman home run or nothing territory....I cringe when I think of 6 more years of 500 AB's.....

Baseball Prospectus' WC probability went up to 7.4%

Probabilities are based on thousands of Monte Carlo simulations of the remaining season schedule incorporating each team's year-to-date run differential, current roster composition, playing time projections and remaining schedule.)

We don't even need Pujols to be as hot as he was in June/July. If he can just be half that hot, it would be awesome.

I would probably put money down on those odds. What is that about 15-1? If we didn't play the teams in front of us I wouldn't make that kind of bet. But as bad as we've played the second half, the Astros, who are in front of us, have been just as bad. Also, there's a decent chance Texas will have everything wrapped up by the time we get there for the final four games.

I don't anticipate him going off the rest of the year. But when Albert went bonkers in July it came out of nowhere.

True....hard to figure where it came from....Equally hard to figure where the struggles of July-Sept (except for a few homers) have come from.....I guess he's just become an all or nothing home run guy with a hot streak thrown in somewhere....My concern is that he is a proud guy and his manager (with the owner's blessing and support) will be penciling him in the 4 hole for the duration....not a good set up for the franchise...

The 18 doubles could be an indication of something gone wrong.

He has never, eeeever had so few doubles in so many games (141 so far in 2015).

The .769 OPS is also virtually the same as the one in 2013 when the plantar fasciitis sent him home for the year after just 99 games, and is a vast drop off from where it was on June 23 (.920) of this season.   Even on July 21, it was at .879.

Since July 22 in 196 at bats:  .565 OPS, 6 doubles, 6 HRs

Someone needs to come clean, if he is hurting such that he needs to sit.

Even DHing most of the time isn't doing any good.
