Crazy lineup ideas?

If were only going to get production from 2 or 3 guys, might as well go with this lineup.

Get Trout and Pujols as many at bats as possible.  Would come in handy late in games when we just need to get to the leadoff spot to get Trout to the plate.

whats scary is that garbage is 7 letters...we could actually make jerseys 1 letter each that spells out the word, and have a great photo op of them on the dugout rails when trouts up and pujols is on deck

Here is what I would go with for now.

Navarro

Calhoun

Trout

Albert

Aybar

Freese

Giovatella

Perez

Robertson

I would put Robertson in LF that way we at least would have strong defense over there. I would have Navarro swap time with Albert to keep Albert fresh. now what I would love is to move CJ for Ethier or make a move for Bourjos to give us an excellent defensive outfielder that can hit a bit, but could also give us a CF that could give Trout defensive days off. Peter would also be an excellent pinch runner late in games that he doesn't start.

Calhoun and Aybar aren't garbage...Giavotella has been solid....Freese started strong, at least he was driving in runs, but has slowed down some....beyond that, it's pretty depressing....

In years past we had players that we could move around the line up to try and get the team kick started. We had guys like Macier on the bench, or Abreu that could hit anywhere from lead off to fifth or even Howie that could hit anywhere in the line up. Today we are actually talking about who should lead off, Giavotella or Navarro, sigh.

I kind of like the idea of batting Trout second and Pujols fourth. Maybe put Calhoun in between them in the hopes of heating him up. This puts our two best hitters in the two most influential spots in the lineup, gives Trout the opportunity to steal second and I think would allow Pujols to come up with more runners on base.

How much would Lind for DH and someone like Fowler for the OF and leading off improve this team?

Would they make the Halos a post-season contender, instead of this .500 up and down team that we've seen all season so far?
