The question is can the Royals go in the tank the next three games? The losing streaks of their season says yes. Getting out of jam after jam the Angels have put them in could end abruptly. The Angels are ranked the best in MLB and if that shows up tomorrow against Shields the momentum will turn fast. Being a Royals fan I am hoping we have enough luck and determination for 1 more win.

In the heat of the moment, after the Hosmer homerun, I said the season was over in the game day thread. I've cooled off a bit now. The Angels have nothing to lose now so they just need to go out and play loose. Pressure is on Kansas City now to close it out.

Hard to overcome lack of momentum.  I strongly believe that a team cannot limp into the post-season like the Halo's did.  It's also interesting that I was extremely worried about our playoff pitching after the loss of Richards, Skaggs, and then Shoemaker.  Relying on Weaver, Wilson and Santiago seemed not such a good idea.  Turns out our offense would hurt us more while our pitching totally stepped up.
