Drives me nuts how Scioscia wastes his best relievers with just one inning of work in a tied game.

 

Why pull Joe Smith out of the game with just 12 pitches?  Why pull Kevin Jepsen out of the game with just 15 pitches?

We needed to get at least two innings out of Rasmus, especially with Skaggs seemingly now out. Our pitching options are pretty bloody thin. We might have to go with Santiago out of the 'pen if this one goes much longer and that's certainly not ideal when you've just lost a starter.
