DirecTV axes The Weather Channel

I saw another post today on Facebook by The Weather Channel. Their desperation is really beginning to show. Jim Cantore all but said that they are more important than the National Weather Service, and that any home that doesn't have TWC is in imminent danger (not a direct quote, but that was the gist of it). As if they weren't already getting barbecued enough by viewers in response to their pleas, mostly over the proliferation of reality shows. People are now openly laughing at and ridiculing the extreme drama that TWC management is trying to inject into this dispute.

 

The pretentiousness of The Weather Channel is mind boggling. They have set up a Facebook page for the sole purpose of getting DirecTV subscribers to demand that they be put back on (a utility I have yet to take advantage of), and a direct link on their website for dropping DirecTV service altogether (ditto).

I have DirecTV and have been suffering without TWC.  Yesterday I dressed inappropriately for the weather and this morning I woke up with a sore throat.
