Lucas Giolito probably out for the 2024 season

And that is exactly what Bowden said after he said he didn't think they did an MRI....

Sure....but I don't think Jim Bowden is a liar...I don't always agree with him but I don't think he is a liar...There could be reasons they didn't get an MRI....there are other medical records you look at besides an MRI....I just had a CT Scan and there were decisions the Doctor made there. How long since the last one, CT v MRI...I'm not a Doctor....Hell, the Red Sox are cheap, maybe they didn't want to spend a few thousand dollars.

Bowden also said the Aaron Nola deal isn't going to work out well for the Phillies.  Nola had his worst season in several years and they rewarded him with a 7 year deal....

GM's do things that are puzzling sometimes.

All of this ties into teams not wanting to sign Montgomery and Snell to deals that are too long and cost too much.
