Such a smart move to remove Moniak from the leadoff spot in favor of Ward. Ward got on base as many times as Moniak did sitting on the bench.

He allowed 2 runs and had a 2 WHIP tonight. He was not good but yes, that second inning worked out for him. He has allowed 7 runs in his last four outings so I stand by my comment.

This team is very consistent at being inconsistent. 
 

Sandoval, Ohtani, Anderson, Canning, Suarez, even Detmer to some extent all struggling at the moment. Why can’t it go right just once!!?

I would hope they are, but so far too many of them are taking place.

Decisions need to be made to put the best team on the field.  And if feelings are hurt, oh well.  Regarding Ward, maybe we were all wrong to think he was a superstar after 6 great weeks.

Platooning should have started last night. 

It’s idiotic that Moniak wasn’t in the lineup last night with a righty on the mound.
