Scoreboard watching on May 3?

Why not, it doesn't cost anything? Any Angel win or division rival lose, will only help in September. Especially this year when retaining Ohtani probably depends on whether or not we get to the playoffs. Why rain on my parade?

Such a crazy stat: In 34 IP this year, Ohtani has given up 11 hits. That's less than 1 hit per 3 innings!

The modern MLB record for Hits/9IP in a non-shortened season is Nolan Ryan in 1972, when he gave up 5.3 hits per 9 IP. Trevor Bauer gave up 5.1 hits per 9 IP in 2020, but that was in 73 IP.

What's crazy as that even when he got lit in that last start, it was literally an anomaly. He went from lights out, to zero control in one inning. Hit more guys in one inning than he did all last season.

Then the next inning was lights out again.

Scoreboard watching with over a hundred games left to go is stupid, regardless the importance of making the playoffs this year.

Right now our destiny is in our hands.  What our opponents do is irrelevant until our destiny is dependent on what others do.

So you don't care if our rivals in the west win every game right now?

You shouldn't worry your little self about it, because you can't do anything but bitch about it. l hope you don't lose sleep over it....

We're grown men discussing baseball on a message board. I know a lot of people who would call that stupid, too.

If scoreboard-watching makes you happy, by all means, do it.
