3) Billy gets credit for bringing in several key pitchers
4) Anderson is a professional and a competitor
5) Pitching and Defense are the staples
6) Not going to talk about extensions for Ohtani but HE LOVES HIM
7) Ohtani has great focus and will ignore trade speculation
8 ) Keeping things in house is important
9) He's excited for the new rules
10) The bigger base will have the biggest impact on the game

I actually think he skated around defense being a staple.

Buster asked him about it, and he went on to talk about how everything is important. That every good team can do everything. Pitching, hitting, defense, situational hitting, power, etc.

He emphasized pitching was a priority earlier in the interview when specifically asked about it.

But when he was specifically asked about defense, he didn’t seem as emphatic about that being important.

That's good, because defense is a definite concern with this lineup. Some positions it's fine, but others....we'll see.

Would be great to see Tyler Anderson’s strike throwing rub off on Sandoval
