Florida lawmakers passed a bill in February giving Governor Ron DeSantis effective control over a board that oversees municipal services and development in a special district that encompasses Walt Disney World resort.

But before the takeover by DeSantis's appointees, Walt Disney Co (DIS.N) pushed through changes to the special tax district agreement that limit the board's action for decades, according to the Orlando Sentinel, which quoted lawyers for the board who spoke at a meeting on Wednesday.

"It completely circumvents the authority of this board to govern," board member Brian Aungst Jr. was quoted as saying.

A spokesperson for the board said the supervisors characterized the prior board's actions as an "eleventh hour" act that effectively ties their hands and limits their ability to do their jobs.

No one is advocating no election laws, but I do have a problem with laws passed to fix a problem proven not to exist with the express purpose of suppressing votes.

I don’t know your positions but I know the positions of the party opposing Desantis and they overwhelmingly support everything I mentioned. 
If dems are winning these elections honestly , they should have no issue with voter id, signature verification, verified voter roles, American voting software, and a more secure mail in system. 
Don’t take this as a personal attack , I’m sure you’re a good dude. I just don’t believe all the democrat filth is worth supporting because reps want voter id and less mail in votes. If the dems have the legitimate votes they’ll show up on Election Day.

After Disney cut off his political stunt of stacking the governing board in the Disney park area with personal hacks at the knees, now Ron DeSantis is threatening to make roads into Walt Disney World toll roads, and increasing hotel taxes. By all means, let's not let the biggest employer in the state and the state's single largest tourist draw get in the way of sucking up to the Trumpers.

Yes it’s a bullshit move by Desantis. It’s sad when people are so anti Trump that they’ll root for Disney who is actively pushing lgbt to kids. As Americans we should be able to disagree on gays but agree sexuality is a topic that doesn’t belong in children’s programming or theme parks. Cigarettes take an average of 60 years to kill a smoker. We ban advertising these to kids. Why in hell would we allow a kids entertainment industry to push a lifestyle that will kill these kids before they’re 40?

I don’t disagree or even count the Catholic Church as Christian anymore. Now the sin of ass fucking is rampant in the Catholic Church but that’s doesn’t mean everyone else excepts it is ok because Catholics are doing it. Clever to exclude trans when it’s convenient but they’re queer too.

I remember the days when all the Baptist churches had to watch out for were pastors that stole money and ran around with peoples wives.  Those were the good old days. Now these young pastors are failed rock musicians with girly hair. Fine are the days when a bunch of scratchy voiced deacons met people at the door while they smoked Marlboros.
