Another California example of why it’s so hard to do business here.  Next up environmentalists will say that the asphalt parking lot is a native habitat for a rare ant species.

They say apathy is worse than anger. The fact that I'm apathetic over this, as are many fans, is an indictment on the team and the game in general. The stadium situation will work itself out. It's not like the team is going to leave such an established fan base in So-Cal. The deal, while complained about will inevitably go through and they'll either remodel the stadium or build a new one on the property. The rest of this stuff, is just noise.

I doubt any major players want it to "fail" - the state and those bringing the lawsuits just want a sweet payoff to go away.  That's the way these things are done - you have to grease the palms of those the politicians put in place to grift, and they don't like being cut out of their skim.

If Arte just says "fine, we'll just keep the current lease" - everyone loses.

I have a tough time believing that another buyer is waiting in the wings. Arte is in complete control over this shit show and will probably just wait it out.
