That’s all, of course, true. Anyone interested in the success of Ukraine’s democratic transition, and its efforts to clean up rampant corruption, wanted Shokin gone. But here’s something that seems to have been lost in this geopolitical shuffle. Not only was Biden not trying to protect his son, Hunter, who was then working at a Ukrainian energy company named Burisma. If anything, what the former vice president did was make the prosecution of his son’s company more likely, not less—a fact that seems to have been overlooked, but which flips Trump’s lies on their head.

See article above, he was getting the prosecutor fired for corruption and for not prosecution of the company Hunter worked for. the new prosecutor then completed the prosecution, Biden didn't do this on his own the EU, the IMF and Obama were behind the Ukraine's in ridding themselves of this corrupt prosecutor. Biden wanted to stop the prosecutor not the prosecution. Hunter didn't start work for the company until well after the investigation into the company started. He has been found not guilty of any wrong doing at least twice so far.

Hunter Biden's attorneys sent a letter to the original prosecutor and apologized for defaming him.

The original prosecutor fell on the sword, so that his country could receive 1.5 billion from Biden.

 

Viktor Shokin is the prosecutor that the Obama administration wanted fired.  Here is his wiki page.
