I was right! Brett hit 24 HR and 22 Ks in 1980. Phenomenal. In 1977 he hit 22 HR and 24 Ks. I love his 1979, when he had 20-20-20 in 2B-3B-HR. I think only Curtis Granderson has done that since.

Yeah, I think so. 35 HR and 41 Ks in 1985. 31 and 35 in '86.

Agree - it would be crazy for him to actually finish with more HR than K, but, I also thought it would be crazy for him to hit 11 HR in his first ~110 PAs.

It’s too early to tell, but if we are sellers, we should shop Goodwin and La Stella - and I maintains Skaggs, Simmons, and Heaney as well - but I’d be surprised if anyone offered enough for Goodwin or La Stella to make it worth it. They don’t have enough track record for a truly good haul, at least one that’s worth more than the Angels would receive holding onto them for 2020.

We’ve been waiting for players like this to fall into our plans for years - we shouldn’t be too quick to deal them. 

If the Angels are sellers, Lucroy and Calhoun will almost certainly have a market and will gain us something at least akin to Sandoval and Buttrey. I’d be pretty happy leaving it at that. Hopefully, one of Harvey, Cahill, or Allen come along as well.
