Twins and mariners gonna lose today.  Royals looking at bad pitching match up. Should be a day to gain ground to stop all the "season over" whiners when they are 1.5 back.   At least for one day......

it is very hard to see a path to the postseason at this point of we don't get heaney and skaggs pitching. So...I would say, any night where they pitch and we are still within striking distance, its a big night. the odds are kind of against them, what with the fact that they are both in recovery, but still. Tonight is a good night to show some bounce back for skaggs.

Updates, Twins look like they plan to remain holder of 2nd wild card at least for 1 more day. Although they have a 3 game series with Chicago next. The Sox did take 3 of 5 last week.

Is it coincidence that the Angels are 1.5 back in the wild card and pujols has about a -1.5 WAR.  If you are a believer in the implications, if Albert had been replaced by Joe schmo minor leaguer, the angels would be tied.
