Everybody stop what you're doing: There's an Amber Alert

Recommended Posts

Me: Reads the description -

Victim's sister left victim in vehicle in the parking lot of Jack in the Box with ignition running for approximately 30 minutes before checking on him. Upon checking on him, she saw both the vehicle and victim were missing.

Me: Slaps forehead

I disabled the Amber Alerts on my phone after I almost ran off the road, when it went off one day with the decibel level of an aircraft roaring down a runway on takeoff.

My phone did a software update and turned Amber Alerts back on. I thought it was an air raid warning the phone started beeping at Max volume while vibrating in the middle of the night. Who fucking thinks this is necessary to program such a violent response?

...and it's not like you're going to notice the white 2010 Camry with the correct license plate number among the thousands of cars that pass by every day while you're concentrating on the friggin road.

Has anyone actually ever spotted one of these cars?

And the Autistic boy uses public transportation and makes his way back home.  At least there is someone with a brain in that family.
