The good news folks is Getzlaf and Kesler both skated today. They're getting closer. Two weeks or so and both are back most likely. Silf will be back in the coming days too. Kase is back. We're almost at full strength.

Raks-Getz-Perry

Silf-Kes-Cogs

Ritchie-Henrique-Kase

Shaw-Vermette-Wagner

That looks WAAAAY better than that we've been rolling out there. Still not crazy formidable but still good. Personally, I'd like to see Kase up with Getz and Raks and Perry down with Ritchie and Henrique. At least Vermette will be back to 4th line minutes and we'll have actual Centers soon.

I would actually be curious about a Raks-Getz-Henrique line.  Grant in the middle of Ritchie and Kase

OK still drunk in Vegas.

But a rakell /Getzlaf /henrique line is in a way 3 centers on one line. Lol. And I like it till eaves comes back.

Perry has been scoring points lately, he's now up to 0.72 points per game, last year it was 0.65, his career average is 0.81, he should finish around 60 points or so at this rate but if he continues to pick things up he could finish around 65 points easily. Terrible contract but he still produces points like a top 6 forward.

Just wish he mixed in a few more goals.  He has been fine but not a top line forward anymore IMO.

Yeah more like a 2nd line type of guy instead of top line.

Looking at Ottawa's roster they got 14.2mil cap hit from just Ryan & Phaneuf & they've produced a combined 4 goals & 15 assists along with Phaneuf being a stationary D-man then they got a 36 yearold goalie who's past his prime & they still made that Duchene trade.

Alright, here are the pictures I took.  Didn't take too many game shots.

Hopefully you guys can see it.  Overall, here is my observations.  For locals, it must be a pain in the ass to go to the game.  It's probably easier to park somewhere else, and take the monorail to MGM.  For visiting fans though, this is a great place.  Again, take the monorail or walk to the stadium.  They close up the side streets quite a bit, so traffic isn't great.  Outside, they have a few bars right along the main entranceway street.  You don't have to go through any casinos to get to the stadium, at least from the strip.  We took a tram/monorail type thing from Bellagio to Monte Carlo, and the street leading to the stadium was between Monte Carlo and NY, NY.  The bars leading up to the stadium were packed with Ducks fans pregaming.  So the atmosphere before the game was definitely much better than the area around the Pond, and better than Staples (just because things were cheaper than around staples)

Rink and seats.  Overall, I didn't see a bad seat in the house.  We had the top level seats, and I did't feel that either side was too far away.  The top level is very slanted, and there is a good amount of legroom.  But there are no cupholders on the top level.  And if you aren't careful, you could easily kick someone in the head in front of you.  But the good thing is, no issues with people's head getting in your way in front of you.

Inside the stadium.  Whoever designed the stadium, must have winged it after designing the seating area.  It just sucks.  Concession stand wise, it was poor.  Food choices I thought was poor, but didn't really eat there.  It just seemed like concession stuff was an afterthought.  On the top level, it's a horseshoe. It doesn't go all the way around.  And the only way down from there is a few elevators, and 2 exit escalators.  With each escalator being one up and one down.  No stairs, like in the picture I showed between level 1 and 2.  This is an absolute fail of a design.  The top level also is void of really any concessions.  They had a bar, and a few generic concession stands.  Nothing really stood out.  Team store I thought was really small.  Nothing really stood out in the team store.  And most of the stuff looks the same as many of the stores outside that were selling Magneto merchandise.  They had one area on the fourth level that was practically pitch dark, and where they had a customer service booth.

Overall, I liked the atmosphere.  The fans were really into the game.  They have a bit to go to get past the bandwagoner side, and become more knowledgeable of the game.  The castle at the top they use for in game entertainment.  DJ, marching band, cheerleaders.  Crowd seemed to enjoy it.  The funny thing is, they think they are the best fans in the league with one of the loudest arenas.  But as far as loudest fans, yes they are more enthused than current Ducks fans.  But I don't think as much as the first few years of the Ducks with the duck calls and such.  And defnitely nothing close to Smashville.

To be fair, Wild Bill was just barely a role player and came to them as a FA.  He just exploded all of a sudden.

Yeah, I wasn't blaming anyone.

It will be interesting to see if he holds up over the season. Just hurts to think it could be legit and we lost him.
