And that is why this team won't get to the playoffs. A team that gets bases loaded with no outs and can't even score one run, does not deserve to win. Period.

 

We have a bunch of old spare parts, and we're trying to put them together to make a high performance racing car. Not gonna happen.

It's been so long since I've said to myself, "Weaver is on tonight." Said it a couple times last season. Don't know if all ever say it again. But as far as how he's looked in recent starts, he doesn't look bad tonight.

Heaney, Trope (1 start), and Perez. But, nothing offensively–our farm system is a bit barren.

Samardzija comes to town with his 12+ ERA for the month of August. The Angels' offense is just what he needed to see to get him back on track
