Don't know this guy from Jo Schmo on the street. But apparently he was one of the top rookie linebackers in the NFL last year?

 

Retiring because of concerns about head injuries and his long term health. 

 

In my view the NFL has been pretty lucky regarding the concussion issue so far, they are lucky the football union is toothless...one major lawsuit that goes against the NCAA or a high school and that would be pretty alarming for football.

I don't believe anyone should be derided for not wanting to be concussed for the amusment of others.

Just to be clear MT...I'm not blaming him at all. My intro (poorly worded apparently) had more to do with I thought the conversation was more about the long term issues football faces as compared to one specific individual who apparently is a smart guy, and wants to stay smart.
