 The 6-foot-4, 230-pounder out of Florida Southern and younger brother of former first round pick of the Orioles Brad Snyder was selected in the 23rd round of the 2012 amateur draft. Snyder Was named first team All-Sunshine State Conference in 2011 and 2012 and also first team All-Region by Daktronics, the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association and American Baseball Coaches Association.

Snyder could well prove to be like Borenstein as a hitter, from a smaller college and probably overlooked by many in the draft. 

Although a smaller college in Florida likely still plays against solid competition.

Will be really interesting to see if he can cut down on his K's. Especially as he moves up the ladder.

[Second Base]

Snyder seems like the exact sort of hitter that Dickey Stephens Park tends to oppress.  Great power but long swing and sub-par pitch recognition works against him with AA pitching and the way the field plays, LF and LCF especially are difficult places to drive the ball out of the park.  

[Fontana Halo]

He should be higher on the list IMO. It will be interesting to see what the Angels do with him since they have Hinkle too.
