Anyone see the end of the Asu game?

Notorious Pac 12 refs strike again.

Stupid of Anderson to run another play but, the asu defender just layed on the ball and then the ref would not let the qb hike the ball.

Wisconsin got jobbed, but they also didn't do themselves any favors with that final play.

The ending was odd, to be sure, but Wisconsin could have headed all of that off with more astute play management.

I was wrong, they were Pac 12 refs.  Usually the away team brings the refs.

The way the ending went down probably confused the refs as well. As I recall, the Badgers QB went toward the line and just placed the ball on the ground, which did not stop the clock. ASU players, believing that it might be a live ball, dove on it. The officials had no obligation to help Wisconsin out by stopping the clock.

Living here, people are losing their minds over it but I didn't think it was all that unreasonable.  Poor coaching by UW cost them the game.  Why not just kick it?

The part where they screwed up is they blew the whistle and did nothing for 16 seconds. Once they blew the whistle and the ASU guy layed on the ball for 7 seconds it is delay of game.

Once they blow the whistle it is their job to reset the ball and they did not attempt to do it.

No argument here. I just believe that the awkward nature of the play and the indecision by Wisconsin confused the crew until they, too, lost track of what was going on. An Arizona State defensive back said that he had never seen anything like it on a college football field.

Awkward play or not, it's all on the refs. It's their job to get it right,simple as that. If it was a change of possession, the clock should've stopped. If it wasn't, then that's a delay of game on asu. I didn't watch the game, and I'm aure Wisconsin lost that game on their own. But that specific play is on the refs
