JB and the AL ROY award

Recommended Posts

Coghlan is in rehab for a back injury. He should return to the Marlins lineup by the end of the month. Of course, he's the one who tore up his knee delivering a shaving cream pie to the face of a teammate after a walk-off hit several years ago. He's been trying to regain his ROY form ever since.

Wil Myers, followed by Archer and Iglesias

Shuck's OPS is only at .713 vs. Willits' .735 in 2007.

Willits' 2007 season has it all over Shuck's 2013 season in SBs and BBs.

Shuck has more XBHs comparatively (number of at bats/XBH being less).

Willits finished 5th in 2007 AL ROTY voting.

Both have questionable arms.

Unless Myers completely falls apart, he's got it in the bag.

Myers only has 155 ABs.  His numbers can dramatically decline quickly.  I don't think he is in the bag.  However, if he continues to put up the numbers he currently is then i would agree with you.

Is Archer a pitcher?

It's like Gubi doesn't understand that Iglesias and Myers exist.

In all fairness, all Gubi says is that Schuck is an ROY candidate.  In that case, I would agree with them.  Granted looking at the offensive players there are three with more impressive numbers:  Myers, Iglesia, and Lough of KC.    So I would say Schuck is a candidate.  Do I think he would win?  NO, but it would be fair to call him a candidate.
