Like I posted here nearly two weeks ago, even with the 7 game win streak I still didn't get my hopes up.  I said they basically needed to have an undefeated homestand and just an incredible run heading into the ASB for me to buy in at all.  They dug themselves too far of a hole for half measures.  This is a mediocre team, mediocre teams win sometimes obviously but this team is not a contender.

But what started their turnaround was a blockbuster deal where the Red Soxs dumped a LOT of salaries, then had a management change.  I don't see the Angels offering up guys like Albert or Hamilton; many teams interested; or a manager change.

Therefore, it is completely ok and acceptable to get swept by them. They are closer to being the worst than they are to being the best.
