2nd base umpire needs to get in better position missing these calls.  1st one wasn't even close.  This one okay very close either way.

Yeah, he is ahead of Adell and it makes no sense as Hicks has been a career .700 OPS hitter against RHP, .663 last season. I don't mind him hitting against lefties, but he should not be getting at bats against RHP.

In real time, don't blame the call being missed, it was close. Replay clearly showed he was safe and was an easy overturn.

I think the best possible season for Adell is significantly better than the best possible season for Hicks.

I’ve seen several that seemed to be clearly overturnable on replay that ended up being upheld in years past. That one was close enough that I thought they’d side with the ump. Glad they seem to be doing a better job with their standard to overturn this year.
