Thaiss is stretched as a regular. He is a solid weak-side platoon guy, a role I expect him to fill with O'Hoppe next year (unless Stassi comes back...what happened to him?). But you got to like the walks, and his general plate approach is solid. He reminds me a bit of guys like Scott Hatteberg - not much power or contact, but the walks make each at-bat worthwhile.
