Valdez isn't on the 40-man, so I assume they're moving Warren to the 60-day IL to create room. 

Truly don't understand why Valdez still has a career.

They selected Valdez because they know they can DFA him in short time. Saving the real prospects.

I understand why they called him up vs a prospect. My point was I'm truly baffled by why he's on anyone's roster, whether major or minor league.
