2021 Draft - Strong Early Returns

It is way too early to draw conclusions, but a lot of our 2021 draftees are performing really well and already in AA or high-A.

In AA:  Silseth (who will become the first 2021 draftee today to appear in the MLB), Kerry, Bush, Murphy, and Torres have all posted solid #s already.  Bachman is in this group too but given he's only made one appearance, can't tell too much just yet.

In hi-A:  Olthoff, Costieu.

That's 7 draft picks out of 20 performing well already, with 2 others who could have joined the ranks had it not been for injuries (Bachman, Erla).  This does not even include undrafted players, like Humphreys who is showing incredibly well in AA (and is a catcher!).

Is it possible we have a really strong draft and development team now, and can potentially start looking forward to lots of home grown talent moving forward?  More than any individual performance, this is incredibly bullish for our future.
