Well I wasn’t expecting this this early but I’m so glad they bit the bullet.  Though Rojas is not who I would recall.

40-man, Rojas already traveling with club, etc...it'll be good to get Marsh more playing time too.

When they get back to Anaheim it's likely that they'll be able to option/DFA a pitcher and maybe look at adding an OF to the club, but for the rest of the road trip they'll need arms with the Ohtani/Suarez/Syndergaard hiccups.

Kind of curious if someone like Wade starts getting some OF reps (I know, flashbacks to last year and infielders playing outfield) but it could allow them to keep Velazquez's glove in the infield more, which is a good thing.

I get it...his defense is that bad that they cant afford to have him out there costing his pitchers runs and making them throw extra pitches. Don't like Rojas as OF4 either though. Hope that's just temporary

Sooner than I expected but after that series there’s no way they could justify it while wanting to contend. Hitting aside, the guy needs to work on his routes. Doesn’t necessarily matter who those come off of. For gods sake Peter bourgeous made a career out of being a great defender. 
 

if he’s ultimately a DH, then just trade him asap because the goal is to have ohtani at that spot long term. Let him tear it up in AAA and dump him on someone else.

Minasian’s AW username is @Carlos, so you might be right. He saw how unhappy we are with Adell, and made the move.
