This has happened before. They just win. They could sell every player on their roster and then pick their new roster from names out of a hat, and still win 80 games.

I hate them more than any other team in baseball. 

But let's not forget, their success of the last four seasons was born of the fact that they tanked from 2015-2017, where they finished last place each season, winning 68, 69, and 75 games.

You know Joe Maddon loves you when it's your first year as a full time major leaguer, first day off the IL and he benches Brandon Marsh for you and you're batting cleanup. 

Taylor Ward better be effing amazing if he's going to send Marsh to the bench and hit cleanup. 

Otherwise he inherits the ire of Angels fans. There's always one player that's a sacrificial lamb....GMJ, Wells, Abreu, Mathis, Pujols, Upton....
