its has more to do with that tard iannetta, he calls 95% fastballs to every hitter, because: 

1. he cant throw anyone out unless its a fastball and he still fails

2. he sucks at calling games and going over scouting reports.  

 

that is why our pitching sucks.

Weird, I thought it was because we have pitchers who just aren't that good.

Well, its both. Ianetta and Butcher are must likely a huge reason the pitchers aren't pitching to their caliber. Not like Blanton was ever a great pitcher, but he wasn't the worst as he is now.

Not to mention the countless runs that have scored due to Ianetta being like 2 for 50.(i know that's not right, but it is pretty close to the real stat). And the dozens of runs from wild pitches that were by no means actually wild pitches, Ianetta just sucks. And he is constantly calling pitches that just won't work in the given situation.

Bottom line is that it doesn't matter either way. If this team were hitting the way they are expected to, they would be averaging 6 runs a game, which despite terrible pitching would probably give us 6 or 7 more winds this season at least. The pitching was expected to such this year. The offense was supposed to carry the team
