Actually his entire team, including some very highly paid ones, should don face bags as well. Love that infield pop-up by one of those aforementioned highly paid players on a meat pitch down the middle. Pretty sweet paying big, big bucks as a reward for the production he gave to the Rangers, and Albert gave for the Cardinals. One would think that that money was supposed to pay for the same production for us. Hanson certainly is not a great pitcher, but that defense behind him was rather suspect - as usual.

Ed, don't act like free agents get paid for future production . They ALWAYS get paid for past production with hopes/expectations of future production.

Only problem is, outside of Hunter, past production has never been duplicated in any way by any big money offensive player arriving here after 2004 (Vlad).

That is a lot of swings and misses with offensive acquisitions.

Why has that become the seeming norm?
