Tonight's line:

5.0 IP    3 H    1 R    2 BB    8 SO

Sort of a forgotten man with his slow start behind Canning and Suarez but was solid last year with a 2.6 WAR, 1.27 WHIP and 3.41 ERA in 129.1 IP. I know his peripherals say he is not as good as last year but he definitely is not as bad as what he has shown to start the season.

6 strikeouts.

He pitched well.  Especially the last couple innings.  A little erratic at first.  He gets hit hard when he misses by even a small margin.  He deserves to be in the majors over someone like Cahill or Harvey though.

I feel more confident in him than Skaggs this year.

Can't be any worse than what we're trolling out there on the daily right now.

SP, 62 games in:

  • 5.60 ERA
  • Combined 1.0 WAR
  • 270 IP (Lowest in MLB)
  • 1.90 HR/9 (2nd worst in MLB)

The biggest shock there is that there's a team that has given up more HR than the Angels.

Barria earned a chance to be in the rotation for now.    Cahill has NOOOOOO endurance, seemingly usually weakening by the 4th freaking inning.

Only TWICE after April 8th, has he pitched at least 5 innings even.   Disgusting lack of endurance

What happened to the Cahill who pitched 6 innings in each of his first 3 starts with a 3.50 ERA?    WTF happened to THAT guy!

Cahill's problem hasn't been endurance, it's been a getting shelled problem
