Kole Cahoun is tinkering with his swing again

Darin Erstad was always tinkering with his swing and never got into a season groove. Kole should know better.

I’m very confident that Kole won’t suck massive ass and this news further solidifies that opinion.

I don't care what angle he holds the bat at pre-swing just so long as he hits the ball hard. But I suppose when you hit as poorly as he did last year, you have nothing to lose by tinkering. That's part of what spring training is for I guess.

This is seriously worrysome.  This should have been done by now and he should be getting ready for the season, not still playing reindeer games. 
He needs a very short leash this year.

If anyone here was expecting more than average out of him or Cozart I am just amazed. .700 OPS would be a win out of either of them at this point.

So Spring Training results  only matter when they suit your narrative around here. It's a really strange situation.

I agree. There's nothing to complain about. Let him work on things in ST. He's hit sub-par for 8 of the past 12 months, over the last two years. Before that, he was pretty solid.

Getting the 2016 Kole would be a huge boon to this offense. Especially if he could maintain an OBP around .350. He could be our lead-off hitter;  something we still dont seem to have.

Personally, I wish he would just cut down on his swing some and be more selective. It's XBH or K, with his approach.

Nothing. Certainly nothing based on Spring Training results. My concern about Kole (and others on the team) are not based on the tinkering of a swing or 30 at bat sample size. 

A valid thing to complain/worry about is his numbers and overall trend over the last 2 full seasons of results. It's very concerning to have a corner outfielder being that poor of a hitter. If he were a 2nd baseman or catcher, it'd be a different story

He messed with his swing last spring and hit fairly well then when the season started he went back to his old stuff and tanked.

He’s doing fairly well now while messing with it but I’d expect him to go back to his old swing during the season and hit .260-.250
