The usual age you hear is that he is 3 years older than he says he is.  So lets go with that one.  Remember when you were 19 years old, how badly you wish you could go back three years and attend two more years of high school?  Of course not, but that is what people are pretending happened.  He came to the United States and went to high school as a Junior.  So lets say he had this amazing foresight to know he was great at baseball, so he lied about his age.  So he comes back as a Junior, as a 19 year old.  Then he is so good in his final two years of high school that he gets to go play baseball at a JC.  He then is so good after his one year of JC and two "extra" years of high school that he gets drafted.  He was so good he gets drafted in the 13th round, right after Amezaga, or however you spell that name.  See, it is just stupid.  It just doesn't pass the smell test.
