Per Miller...Simmons is the best defensive shortstop in baseball, and he might be the best in history. There's a way to express his genius in numbers -- at 156 defensive runs saved, Simmons is almost 100 runs better than the No. 2 shortstop since 2012 -- and I expect some writers will cite those numbers when casting their MVP ballots this fall.

If your rotation features a heavy dose of Ricky Nolasco and Bud Norris is your "closer", odds are good you are not a division leader.

We're 4 games over .500 on a team that doesn't have Richards, Shoemaker, no Skaggs or Heaney for the majority of the season, no Street, no production from 2B (until Cowart recently) and like @mulwin444 said, Nolasco is our workhorse and Bud Norris was closing losing games late for us. 

Oh and Pujols doing Pujols things.

Heard this all of the time when he played in the NL East. When he got traded to the Angels', he wasn't even considered in the top 3 in the AL anymore by the national media. Glad to see someone remembered how good he is.
