NCAA Regionals -- Long Beach/Texas games!!

Am sure some of you have been following the NCAA Regionals from Blair Field this weekend.......some great games.......

Texas and Long Beach State really going at it --- tied up right now 3-3 in the 8th........Dirtbags need to win to play Texas again tomorrow night.........last night, today and hopefully tomorrow - these Texas- Dirtbag games are great.  Western regional is tough and now BEACH takes a 4-3 lead in top of the 8th.

Both teams wearing their pitching staffs out -- but some really great baseball !!!

LB regional was by far the most brutal.    All 4 teams were ranked in the top 50 in at least one poll.

I had zero idea that Oregon State was so dominant.  Never a mention on espn.

Florida got knocked off by Bethune-Cookman yesterday, forcing a deciding game this afternoon. I may not have to worry about Omaha.

Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals and then Long Beach State Dirtbags vs. Texas Longhorns at Blair Field vying for a spot in the super regionals on the way to Omaha.

Did I read somewhere that Darin Erstad's Nebraska team lost to Yale???????

And LB completed 3 wins in 34 hours to win the LB regional, 2-1 over Texas.   LB pitching totally shut down Texas.   Dave Smith pitches 13 shutout innings in the regional.

For the first time ever, LB vs Fullerton (at Blair Field) with a CWS berth on the line

Great game! My son stayed up way too late watching. Let's do it again this weekend!

Johnny Bench finalist (top college catcher), LB's David Banuelos, has a gun for an arm and hits decently.

For any scouts out there, how does he compare to Taylor Ward?    Banuelos is projected to go late in the 3rd round in next week's draft.
