Pujols has 479 home runs now, good for 28th place all-time. Next up is Fred McGriff and Lou Gehrig, both tied at 493.

 

This is Albert's 13th year in the majors. Of the 41 players below him who have at least 379 home runs, only one (Albert Belle) had fewer years of playing time (12). The 27 players ahead of him averaged 19.5 years.

 

If Albert averages 20 HR for the next six years, he will get to 600.

Bumping one of bright spots from last night. I really hope Albert can finish his career with more home runs than A-Rod. That would be sweet.

True. Although passing ARod on the all time HR list would be nice regardless of what uniform Albert is wearing.

Who cares about HR milestones, when the team sucks?    Will it be worth sitting there on June 14th, 2017 to watch Albert hit a meaningless 650th home run or pass ARod?

 

Is that what fans are reduced to now, waiting for milestones of players who a) accomplished most of the stats with another team and pass a guy that really has no impact on this club whatsoever?
