Kinda feel sorry for the guy. I'm guessing this will be his last season, he will probably force himself to retire after this year.

Me too, he's a gamer but I don't think he will have to force himself to retire. Big Papi is forcing himself to retire with the year he is having but Weaver may be forced to by the league.

We need Skaggs and Tropeano back ASAP.  I appreciate everything Weaver has done for the Angels but he's costing victories at this point.

When other guys get healthy, Weav and Santiago must be removed from the rotation. In an era where more and more pitchers are dominating, those 2 are sporting mid 5 ERA's.

Impossible to know right now whether Weaver is still in the rotation because of loyalty/stubbornness or simply a lack of able-bodied players. We'll know if/when the injured SPs start coming back.

Why?  Might as well let him finish the year in the rotation, it's not like we're him out of the rotation away from post season play.

But what do you think is better for the org? Letting Weaver play out the string or seeing what we have in Tropeano and letting him get some more experience under his belt?

Not only do the Angels make mediocre pitchers look like Cy Young, but this team makes a crappy team like the Twins looks like the '27 Yankees.

I'd let Weaver and Trop pitch, move Santiago to the pen, and if possible sell high on Shoe.  But that's just me, I don't expect anyone else to see eye to eye with me.
