The Emergence Of C.J. Cron

This is what the Angel offense needs.  They need C.J; Cron to hit a consistent .275, power 30  balls out of the yard and drive across 90 teammates every year.  With nights like last night,  Cron could really solidify that No 5. hole in the lineup. Maybe opposing pitchers would be less likely to pitch around Albert Pujols if Cron is in the on deck circle. Who knows? Albert might actually get some balls to drive!

It was one good game. Call me skeptical but I agree that if he were to start hitting consistently it would totally change this line up.

Also he is still a liability with the glove and that, most likely, will not change.

He's shown himself much more likely to hit 15 than 30 and there isn't much to suggest he'll hit .275 or anything close to that.

Lol @ pitchers pitching around Albert. He's pretty easy to get out.

Cron will likely never reach those numbers in all honestly.  The only thing he's doing better than last year is striking out less, but at the cost of his SLG% dropping 50 points.  

He is what he's always been; a DH with a mediocre bat.

I agree.  C.J. has to hit consistently to give Albert a chance to make a real impact.

Pujols can't play most of the time at 1B though.    That issue still needs to be addressed, going forward.
